From Sled Lake to Stark Lake – Northwest Territories, Canada

22th July– Stuck in Paradise

The wind kept on blowing so we were stuck on the island. But after all it wasn’t a bad place to get stuck. The sun was shining and the fishing were excellent. I caught 6,6 kg of trout but Bernt was lazy and focused on his book reading.

My whole body was still sore after yesterdays hard work, though Bernt claimed to be in excellent shape. I pointed that this of course had to do with the distribution of the workload. He did not agree.

With my heavy legs I started exploring our little island. Fishing my way around it. We ended up catching over 25 kilo of trout from this beautiful place in Tent Lake. Oh how we wished we could spend eternity there…

Fish caught:

Bernt: 1,3  1,3 kg

Håvard: 1,2 1,3 1,4 1,5 1,2 kg

Total: 60,7 kg

Almost every day we sent a message with our SPOT to tell our loved ones where were.
